Hi all, I have Buffalo Linkstation ls-wtgl/r1-v3, has been working for years and today it stopped working, I logged in to control panel with default admin/password info and I saw following message;

An error in a RAID Array has been detected.
Select restructuring disk and click "Restructuring RAID Array".

I replaced the broken drive, checked Disk 2 box, clicked on "Restructuring RAID Array" and after few minutes I got "completed" message, ever since then I can no longer see NAS drive on the network, I cannot ping its name nor IP address, it has been 4 hours since I replaced and did Restructuring RAID Array.
I just installed NAS Navigator and this is what I see; I18 - Rebuilding Raid Array 1;

Network info seen from screen shots are not accurate, I am not sure if some how device reset itself to default of what?

Please see attached screenshots, thank you !

UPDATE:
Okay, I finally figured out that device has reset itself to default (no one has ever pushed to reset button)
I have changed IP address and host name back to original and now I see repairing status is at 4.3% and STUCK, will NOT move at all, see screenshot; http://prntscr.com/7q4t2p
I tried resetting the device, it starts from 0% and moves to 4.3% quickly than thats it.

Looks like the issue might be the RAID itself, you will probably need to delete and recreate the RAID. This will erase the data on the NAS so refer to your backup for any data.

Your firmware is also out of date so you should update it also.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
Having network issues? Drop me an email: info@interwebsireland.com and we will get it fixed!

Have i helped you? Buy me a coffee as a thanks!

I see, how can I retrieve my information from working HDD 1? I assume I can't just remove it from raid array, connect to a computer with USB enclosure.

Built-in backup to USB feature did not work as well  " An error occurred during backup. "
