The error states the RTC Chip is bad ... OK so now what?  Contact Buffalo Support.

Do they replace the chip, tell me to go buy a new Linkstation?  Are the HDD's still good?  is my data still intact?

Thanks
Bill

Data mostly still good. If its in warranty they would replace the unit. Recommend getting advance RMA. If its out of warranty. You will need to either buy another unit. Or recover your data. You can try and power down the unit. remove one disk, disk 2 if anything. And let it boot back up. same error, power off, put back disk 2, remove disk 1, and try again. same error then its a true E03, sometimes bad HDDs can cause all kinds of issues. You can buy a diskless unit of the same model and use that. Should work after you put the disk in. FYI make sure to keep the disk in order. Disk 1 NEEDS to be disk 1, Disk 2 NEEDS to be disk 2,
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I don't work for Buffalo but i do love there products enough to help people
