I have a Buffalo Terastation Pro II, and I was wondering if I could hook up the Terastation to my computer via USB cable (Male To Male) I have the ethernet cable hooked up fine, but would like to use USB if possible because it would be faster. I hooked up the male to male usb cable to the front USB port on my computer (running Windows XP) and the computer didn't see the terastation via USB. Is this even possible to do, or is the USB outputs on the back of the terastation strictly just for hooking up hard drives to the terastation???

As far as I know they are just for external drives.  If you log on to your Terastation Admin and look at the drive properties you will see two empty spaces for drives (i.e. usb1 and usb2).  The only communications between your computer and Terastation are thru the Ethernet.
