I don't know if this is a Linkstation Live issue or something to do with my other DLNA device (Samsung TV LE40A866).

When adding a new media file to the Linkstation it takes a very long time before i appears in the file browser on my dlna-TV. Is there any way to force (push) a refresh of the files on the Linkstation?

I've googled around and can't seem to find an answer.

Either way both Ls Live series have this capablility it's just a little different...

You need to log into the web interface and go the the Media Server or PCast and select "Refresh Now"
