ransomware

Dear all,

yesterday, i visited a seminar for data security.
during the meeting our attention was drawn to something called ransomware, at this moment a lot of synology equipement with older fw face issue with beeing hijacked.
does anyone know if buffalo suffers similar issues, and if there is a solution to it.
as we are currently running three buffalo nas systems.

What is the name of the ransom ware program? if anything putting permissions on a folder and not saving those permission on a pc will mostly stop any ransom ware from hijacking you. Since your stopping it at the permissions level. Even then i wasnt aware of ransom ware jumping from pc to pc with out some kind of action taking place for the ransom ware to do what its suppose to do
