Company to which I work for, as a standard solution for customers, sells Qnap and we are quite happy of support and quality.

Last year however I decided to use Bufallo NAS (TS5600D) for one of our strategic customer (quite expensive around 2K) and it was working fine since then. However three weeks ago, when weekly RAID scan starts, I got following notification:

RAID maintenance notice
Target array:System field (md0)
RAID maintenance has started.

I've called to support and was told to wait for completing the maintenance job and then upgrade firmware. The job was completed after 3 days and firmware was upgraded successfully.

Unfortunately the problem comes every week so I've send the e-mail with reference number to support. After three days(!) I've got e-mail in which was asked to check status on NAS on website and NAS navigator software. After sending requested print screens got next and last e-mail:

"According to the screenshot you sent, there are no errors in the Nas Navigator nor the web interface. If you have any additional issues or feedback please do not hesitate to contact us again"

For next few e-mails asking why I'm getting the notification no answer at all.
I'm really disappointed of the Buffalo support and the forum is mine last hope. Does anybody knows how to fix this problem? Could you advise please? This device is quite important and I'm afraid may crash any time...

Davo,

Thank you for your reply.
Is it too often? I can change to one month.
However I have this scan for last year and the problem is only for last three weeks.
