[TS4400R] Full wipe

Hi guys,
I am providing support for a customer which owns a Terastation 4400 (rackmount). It kinda works but it has some problems. I would like to fully wipe it out of everything (system AND data partitions). I already made a full backup from the web console. I tried using the TSUpdater but it does not find the NAS on the network and neither NAS Navigator does. I used the latest versions available on the Buffalo website (FW 2.71 and NAVNavi 2.76). I also tried with the debug mode but it's a no-go.

I thought to remove the disks from the NAS, to connect them to my PC and to wipe them out with diskpart or gparted but the customer lost the USB recovery disk. How can I create a new one? I tried to generate it from the web interface (from the Management console) but it fails for some generic error. I tried with a dozen different USB thumb-drives and still does not work.
