Hi,

I recently aquired the LS-WXL0E6

I am a bit confused and hoping someone can explain Raid Array Check/Check Disk a bit more than the manual.

From what I understand:

 Raid Scanning checks Read perforance and repairs defective sectors.

Raid Array Check Speed does something? a different frequency depending on the speed chosen

  •       What does this do? Is it different than Raid Scanning? How so?

Check Disk

  • What does this do?  If I'm using Raid 1 and I select Array 1, is this different than a Raid Array Check or a Raid Scan?

Thank you!

Johnny

RAID Array check speed]:Select the RAID scanning speed from the following:[High]: ~ 10 hours per TB[Normal]: ~ 20 hours per TB[Low]: ~ 100 hours per TB

Kev

On this note;

RAID Array check speed]:Select the RAID scanning speed from the following:[High]: ~ 10 hours per TB[Normal]: ~ 20 hours per TB[Low]: ~ 100 hours per TB.....

Does the speed affect the level of scan depth?
ie a Low speed scan is a 'better' scan?
OR is this speed adjustable purely to reduce the perfomance deficit from the scan?

Thanks!
Kev
