if  \\Nasname  from Windows, lists all the shared folders of my NAS but..... none of them are accessible except the 'INFO' folder that was pre-configired on the NAS when it arrived yeears ago ?
Same from the 'settings' app for the NAS

What are my options to explore ?

Thanks Davo..
Sorry to confuse.. I know you are trying to help..
This is same issue as in topic link I posted which has the detail.
I was seekiing any new suggestions by trying to simplify one aspect of this.
ie. What are my optins when folders are listed, appear to be there but cannot access them ?

Basically I am locked out.
Navvigator states Disk is UNFORMATTED (screen shot was provided in prev topic.  Clearly this is WRONG because I can access the INFO folder and read files on it . Or are these not held on the disks but stored in memory or on board ?

ALSO as a test I just made one of the shared folders ''WEB ACCESSIBLE" and sure enough, logon via buffaloNAS and it is listed. But I still cannot access it.

Something thinks the folders exist. No reason why they do not unless EVERY disk has failed simulatneously or unless the NAS formatted them all.
OR M'board or OS issue ?

Seeking suggestions, ideas etc.
DISK MANAGEMENT page shows stats as normal but  'file format' as 'not available'.
SHARED FOLDERS page does not allow mouse to <click> on any of the folders. ie no 'hover over and select options.

You had a RAID failure, only option to get the LS working again would be to delete and recreate the RAID.
This would erase any data on it, you should be able to recover it before you do this using UFS explorer and a PC.

What do you mean.. I should be able to recover ?  Do you mean the data.
There are a few key files that I ahve not got recent backups off.  I'd love to be able to get them.

However...
The strangest thing has happened now though..   At 9am this mornign I could logonto the NAS.
Now a few hours later,  I cannot log onto the NAS. It tells me the UID/Password is wrong.. Which of course it is not.
How do I get around this ?

I will research UFS explorer  (never come across this)..
ANY HELP GRATEFULLY RECEIVED.

Kev.
