When either of us in our two-person office use our billing software (Sage Timeslips 2013, FWIW), we usually lose the LAN connection to the TeraStation Pro.

I doubt the problem is the TeraStation Pro. I suspect that there are registry settings I need to fix.

Any clues appreciated.

The connection drop is temporary - say, 5-20 seconds - but repeated every couple of minutes or so as long as the software is processing something.

The LAN is simple: 2 Vista Business boxes, a Xerox, and the TeraStation Pro connect to a switch, which is connected to a router, which is connected to a cable modem. The switch and the router are less than 90 days old. (We replaced them hoping it would solve this very problem, but the problem remained unchanged.)

The billing software, Timeslips, is a database. Seems like the harder the software works, the more the TeraStation Pro drops off the network.

Otherwise, our TeraStation performs flawlessly.
