hey guys,

just bought a linkstation LS420D 2x3TB NAS, and have successfully set it up in RAID1. Now, when i try to turn on the webaccess feature, it goes through the working, and applying settings, but it will then tell me that the service is unavailable. I know that the username is calid through buffalonas.com, so that's not the issue. Any ideas?

Thanks

when you are trying to go to www.buffalonas.com/calid, are you doing it locally on the same network or are you trying it outside your local network like at work or your phones internet?

also the username is merely the name of you buffalonas site like above. if you want to login you need to create a user in the linkstations interface and set the shares to "allow all users and groups"

i'm trying to access it locally, since i want to see it it works before carting it off back to malaysia (in the states for christmas)

the problem is, whenever i try to actually turn on the webaccess function from the home tile screen, it gives me an error message saying 'the service is not available' all the shares and such are in order, as ive created a few users for the people that will be using the NAS

this picture is what i'm seeing, to give you guys a better view of the problem.

Whats your firmware version? 1.30 is the latest and there was issues fixed with webaccess in the pervious updates

http://www.buffalotech.com/support-and-downloads/download/ls400-130en.zip

see if that helps. Also make another folder as well and see if you get the same issue with the folder.
