Has anyone setup SSL on Terastation?

I'm trying to setup the SSL for my TS3400D and I'm getting the run around between godaddy and Buffalo tech supports.

I have a external domain that I would like to use (it's with Godaddy) and based on the Terastation documents I need a .crt and .key files.  Godday has never heard about .key file.  They tell me that I need to generate a CSR and use that to create the certificate which is the .crt file.  There's no where on the Terastation to generate a CSR and Buffalo tech has confirmed.  Basically, Buffalo is washing their hands from assisting in this situation as it they tell me it doesn't pertain to their device.

Has anyone setup an SSL for use with FTP and Webacess using an external domain and would you be kind as to share how you did it.

Confused with SSL!
Thanks,

salzan

Has anyone had any luck setting up a SSL on Terastation 3400D or similar device?

Would love some feedback on how you accomplish this.

Thanks,

Well not sure what buffalo can do for you as this is first a advance setting and you need to know what you are doing. Second if godaddy says you need to create it then you are going to have to create it. so now we look at google.com...., So you cant blame Buffalo as this actually doesn't have nothing to do with there unit. should google before pointing fingers. And godaddy rep sounds like an idiot as you need the .key to de-crept the .crt but that's godaddy for your. Crappy support.

bam...

but... webaccess doesn't use this.  This is for https, ftp and ftps or sftp. Webaccess uses its own key. If you are using godaddy as a redirection site then you will have to still use the default cert webaccess uses. i have tried what you are asking and never got it to work in this manor.
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I don't work for Buffalo but i do love there products enough to help people
