NTFS File permissions?

I am having yet another issue with my TS5400R. This time it is with file permissions. I map to the share, but am unable to set any permissions on sub folders? This is becoming a real issue, because it appears that no one other than the user that created the file is granted "Full Control" over files.

Our SQL server is creating files with it's account, and I am trying to clean up old ones via batch jobs running as a domain admin account, but it cannot delete the files even though it has R/W access? Apparently I can delete the files when logged in as myself, because I am the one that created all the folders in the first place?

you cant assign permission pass the Parent folder. All sub folders will inherit the parent folders permissions. You can delegate to external smb server and then you should beable to do what you want. To do this look at your manual for the unit.
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I don't work for Buffalo but i do love there products enough to help people
