Hi

I have just tried to use the built in backup and restore software within vista to backup to my Buffalo 1tb 2share disk over my lan. The drive is connected via ethernet cable to my router but I get an error message when i try to set the drive as the backup destination. I can access/map the drive in My Computer.

The RPC server is Unavailable (0x800706BA)

Any ideas?

Thanks

Michael

Vista backup has issues with backing up to a NAS of almost any manufacture. I would suggest a http://www.google.com/search?q=Backup+to+NAS&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a" target="_blank">3rd party backup software in order to avoid this problem.
