Hi All,

I have got a Link Station Duo NAS (LS-WX2.0TL/R1 Drive 2TB) with a Raid 1 config.  I have set the drive to to a maintenance check once a week and send me daily reports.

If drive A failed for some reason, how would I actually be able to recover from it?

I am trying to be proactive and know what I would need to do, just so that all bases are covered.

Many thanks
Mik

If one drive fails your unit will go in to degrade mode since you have the unit setup in Raid 1. You should still be able to access your data and web settings page. You will need to replace the drive asap so you can rebuild the raid and have redundancy again. I would have a backup of your data though as raid does not protect you if your unit fails.
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I don't work for Buffalo but i do love there products enough to help people
