New LS-421DE Jumbo Frames other than default value not working.

Hi,

I wanted to report and perhaps other may wish to verify the the adjusting the JUMBO FRAMEs on the LAN adaptor to the LS-421DE does not work for any other value than 1518.  How do I know this is the fact?  I first adjusted the JUMBO frames on setting on one Window Vista and the other Windows 7 PCs the settings were successfully adjusted on each wired interface  because I verified and reset each devices TCP stack.  I was then able to perform a ping between the devices running  in a command line the following command.

ping -f -l  9000  {ip of destination device}

I did this doing it for a JUMBO Frame of 9K and 4K. My router is a Belkin N+ router and it DOES support JUMBO frames on its 1GB interfaces. The ping would have not been successful between the PCs had the ports not supported the new Frame size.

Well, I similarly changed the JUMBO frame size on the LS-421DE. Commited the changes and even restarted the NAS.  I attempted the ping to the NAS without success using the command from one of the PCs targeting the NAS with the command specified above.  It only pinged back once the frame size on the ping  dropped below 1500. Please advise if my determination is validates ans is something that needs adddressing on this NAS.
