Hi, sorry if this has already been discussed, but I caould not find any usefull info on the forms here.

I recently purchased a WZR-HP-G300NH and updated firmware to latest stock 1.76.

My problem is that I cannot access the utorrent web UI interface on port 9090. Have tried with http://192.168.11.1:9090," target="_blank">http://192.168.11.1:9090, have appended /gui and nothing. Read that you need to fwd port 9090 to the router, problem is the router does not allow port forwarding to the router's IP, so couldn't fwd 9090 to 192.168.11.1

Port 9090 is closed in the internal network as I have checked with a port scanner, only 9000 and 9001 are open besides the regular services ports.

Any help appreciated, know I am missing something trivial.

Florin.

I would try downloading 1.76 and reinstalling it using the firmware upgrade option. The method that you are using to access the bittorrent is correct. Have you attached a drive to the unit through the usb and formatted that usb drive using the router?

Hi, just downloaded 1.76 and updated.

I have a flash drive formatted as fat, which the router recognisez. I can access the drive .

Web Access works, so does the torrent download manager inside the config interface, and I can download torrents okay via that.

What I want is to be able to access the web UI directly and externally and not from within the conf interface.

I'll try some more, and if nothing works, I'll probably install dd-wrt on it.

Thanks for the reply, I just wanted to make sure that 9090 and /gui is the right way to use it, funny that 9090 is closed though.

DDWRT has issues using the NAS functionality and has no web access.

Thanks, good to know.

However, FTP server is a viable alternative to this and DDWRT supports that, am I right?

As long as I have torrent webui and ftp I declare myself happy.

The DDWRT software has issues mounting USB drives so at present there is no option for that. On the standard firmware there is the bittorent and web access. I'm betting that there will be a firmware update to the DDWRT firmware soon, but I cant be 100% sure.
