Box is raid 5, and the 4th drive light is flashing bad.  I would like someone to show me the repair procedure, including identifying WHICH drive is bad in the case, after I've removed the 500 screws to get the drive cage to where it can be accessible.  I guess this is by design so that you are terrified to even try on your own, but someone out there has done this and documented it I'll bet, even if Buffalo doesn't want you to know how.  There was a UK blog, but all the pictures are gone so it is a bit useless to me.

Anyone who has any details on this, my email is vindog at photoshack dot com....much obliged!

Thanks for sharing!  Not sure how long my terastation has had a red blinking light, it sits where I have to go looking for it.  Interestingly enough, there are no status messages in the admin interface anywhere that seems to show a drive has gone bad.  I did turned off the email messages, so perhaps that would have notified me.  Now to see if my data is still there after I change out the drive.  Good thing it is not the only drive I rely on, that would be WHS.
