Multiple bottlenecks with LS-CH500L

Hello,

 

I've read through just about every post in the forum and searched the internet but I'm having a few issues with my LinkStation Live LS-CH500L.

 

• NAS not found on network.  NAS attached to d-link dir-655 gigabit wireless router.  Using static IP of my macbook pro.  My wife has a IBM work laptop but cannot find the drive.  I thought once this was connected to the router it would show up...is this not the case?
• Web Access not working on other laptops.  As I stated above the NAS is using the static IP address of my macbook pro. So I'm able to access www.buffalonas.com without any issues.  When I type in the address on my wife's laptop and try to sign her in it doesn't work.  I believe the issue has to do with the IP because I noticed in the address bar her IP was in the link and not the static on.

Again the NAS drive I have is a LinkStation Live LS-CH500L which is connected to my D-Link dir-655 wireless router.  Two other laptops trying to connect are a IBM thinkpad (wife's work laptop) & my work laptop - Dell Latitude (I have no admin rights).

 

Any help would be great.

 

From previous threads I was able to get Time Machine working without any issues.
