Figured I would start a new thread because I got most of my issues resolved......except being able to ACCESS my shared folder when I have the "access restrictions" set.

I have added myself with read & write permissions but it seems that I still get an error when trying to access that folder.

See http://www.earthuser.com/test" target="_blank">http://www.earthuser.com/test

At the bottom is the error I get......not sure what to do next????

I am using VistaU 64 with all current updates.

Thanks

kevin

First, Make sure that you have created a user and have set that user for the restictions and are using it to log in (Not a user that was on there by default, "admin, guest, ect.") Also you can only use either Users or Groups for the restrictions, you cannot use both on any one folder.

Second, Unmap all shared folders to the (What unit is this???) and then map all the restricted folder before any unrestricted folders.

More info needed to continue...

What is the unit, model number?

What is the Firmware version?

What Operating System is on your computer?
