   Buffalo Terastation Live 2TB
PC Network with 4 Vista machines and 2 windows XP.
Don't have the firmware version Handy.

Does anybody know of any way to recover corrupted MS-Word or Excel documents?

I had a disk drive die on me. Turns out it was drive 1, I removed drive 1, restarted the Terastation, as per Tech supports advice. The station came up fine, looked like all files were ok.  The entire NAS is backed at ibackup.com.

About a month later, I went to retrive one of the MS word files. It turned out to be corrupted, the file displayed all squares.  I then noticed the modification date was the same date the NAS failed. Even though the document had not been modified at least one or two months prior to that.  I had not notice in time, the backup system had noticed the files had changed and backed up/overwrote some good files with corrupt files.  I now no longer have a backup of the good files.

Does anybody know of any way to recover corrupted MS-Word or Excel documents?

Any and all help is appreciated!
