I just received my LS 1000Gl and have been trying to get Backup Exec 10 to make backups to it.  So far I have been unsuccessful.  I am running a Windows Server 2003 environment.  My questions are:

1.)  Do I have to upgrade to a newer version of Backup Exec for this to work?

2.)Do I need to  format the 1TB hard drive to NTFS for this to work?

Any help for points in the right direction would be nice.  I've been to the Symantec website and that hasn't answered any questions either.  Thanks.

The NAS products we make don't support the remote agent installation ofany kind. All the successes i've encountered have been with version 11or above.

And no, NTFS shouldn't be a requirement for a network drive.
