Oops - so much for trying to clarify things.  You are correct in that I stated GBps when it should have been MBps:

 

TeraStation Pro II - 7 to 8 MBps on gigabit network (63-72Mbps)

seems to be common....but KB#000107 states 38 MBps (300Mbps).

Well, buffalo is horribly unclear on their actual throughput on their devices......

 

I believe the 300Mb connection refers to the expandable USB drives as this is the speed of USB.
