Hey, I couldn't find what that error code means specifically, other than a rather generic networking error.  When exactly does it give you that error?  Also, have you successfully mapped a drive on our unit, and can you just do simple drag and drops/copy pastes to it?

When I go to system tools to setup the backup in my computer I then selected under My Network places to be connected to the buffalo Linkstation Pro Model HS-DH500GL . But when I selected it an error message pops-up: The network  share could not be accessed for the following reason-Cannot create a file when that file already exists. (0x800700B7). Please ensure that the network location is valid. How can I correct this?

All I wanted to do is put the backup to this external drive and not in a CD. I can see the buffalo link in my network then why does it say that the nework location may not be valid. I'm a beginner at this and I really need to know what I'm doing wrong so I can make this work.

Thanks!
