I've tried the suggestions in the support section but still no help.  I cannot access my Linkstation from a new build with Vista 64 Home Premium.  Is it possible, or no go?

Thanks.

Could you provide more details on what you've tried? Try WindowsKey+R to get to Run, then type in \\ip_address_of_linkstation and hit ok.

Hi,

Thanks for your help.  I began with installation from the CD that came with the unit and get the message: "Failed mapping network drives.  Confirm existing shared folder in Linkstation." followed by "Cancelled or an error occurred".  Then I downloaded the Buffal_NAS_Vista_Support file and ran it.

The error from NAS is: "Network cabling can't be faound.  Confirm network cabling and connection."

I can access the device through "Run: ip_address"  All the folders show up.  I can also access it through Firefox.

But I can't see it via  "Start>Network" or the NAS Navigator.

Does this info help?

That's probably either an issue with NASNavigator not working with vista 64, or some firewall is blocking the connection. To access the drive, Run: \\ipaddress, then right click on share and select map network drive.
