I have Win XP Sony VAIO 3GHZ HT 3G RAM. I have two internal PATA HD. I accidentally install the SLW to my slave HD and uninstall it. After closing the Window I can't acces my slave HD. But I go to My COmp, Manage It shows Disk 1 BASIC 379 GB. online. I did not reformat the slave HD.

I need to retrieve those file, Although the Bufallo External HD HD-CE500U2 had no problems.

I just want also to know where the put the encryption. Is that on the Disc of the HD? or in the PCB of the HD? Cause I'm willing to buy same HD with my slave HD and switch the PCB? Do you think it will work?

Thanks any comments is highly appreciated.

venus,

When the SLW software is invoked on to a target HDD that HDD is formatted.  You can try using various data forensics programs, but switching the PCB of your HDD won't work.  If the drive is being seen in Disk Management without a partition type then data forensics programs might help or a data recovery specialist, however I cannot guarantee the data will be usable.  Sorry :(
