Cannot delete folders created by backup jobs

I cannot delete some folders resulting from backup jobs on my attached USB drive .

I can delete individual files & folders from backup jobs, but not folders that were created by the LS when the backup was created. For example, I cannot delete the folder named with the date and time that the LS created as the destination. Also cannot delete the folders within that folder for the shares backed up.

But I can delete the contents of these folders. Including all sub folders and files.

I'm assuming that since the folders I cannot delete were created by the LS,  a permissions problem exists.

Anyone know of a solution? Thanks.

USB drive is formatted as XFS
