Hi,

I've got a failed LS-CH2.0TL-EU, the LED flashes red 7 times, which I think is a failed board????  I've taken the 2TB disk out and put this in a USB caddy and mounted this on an Ubuntu desktop and all I can see is the 5.1GB partition that I assumes contains the boot images etc for the NAS.

I really would like to be able to recover the data that was on this and was wondering if there was an easy way to view the other partitions that were shared from the NAS.  I'm new to Linux so have no idea how to get about the OS or what tools are available so if its not possible to get to the files this way, would I be best off buying another one of these NAS devices and swapping the disk over???

Any ideas/help really appreciated.

Cheers

7 flashing red LEDs usually means the HDD itself is faulty, not the board.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Just put the HDD back in the NAS and now the LED is flashing red 6 times, so I guess I need to TFTP boot andf then possibly force the firmware.  My only concern here is loosing the data that is already on the drive and would ideally like to be able to back this up first before I try anything else by putting the drive in a USB caddy, if that is possible???

Dont TFTP it if you need the data, slave the HDD to a Windows PC and run UFS explorer on the HDD. This should recover the files, then TFTP it.
