Linkstation, Crashplan not able to write

Hi,

I have a BUFFALO LinkStation Pro Duo LS-WVL2B9 and I'm trying to use it mapped to my Windows 7 (64-bit) machine so that I can backup files to the NAS device. The backup software that I'm using is Crashplan. Since Crashplan has issues recognizing mapped drives on Windows7 I used a workaround - I ran "net use Z: \\device_ip>\share /USER:device_ip\username password" and "mklink /D c:\bkp \\device_ip\share\" in a command window (run as "administrator"). After that as a regular use I can "cd c:\bkp" and write to / delete files in that share location.

Now via the Crashplan interface I can "see" the sym linked disk "c:\bkp" but Crashplan then reports that "The backup engine does not have access to the given location". I have tried stopping and then starting the Crashplan service but it still doesn't work. From what I could see it looks like this must be an issue with the permissions on the Linkstation/folder side of things. I've checked that the Linkstation folder is read/write and that the same user as the Linkstation user (with the same password) is being used on the Windows7 box too. Is there some Linkstation/folder permission that I'm forgetting to set? Thanks in advance!
