Terastation TS-8VHL endlessly checking

Hi all. Last friday my TS-8VHL signalled a problem with disk#8. I started a checking which is still running. I contacted the support team, they told me to switch off the TS, remove disk#8 and swith it on again. As soon as the TS came on line I got the very same behaviour: web interface stating that "All features are disabled until the disk is completely checked/formatted. Also, file sharing is not available." and, on a monitor connected to the TS, an endlessly list of "skip diskmon". I tried to have some news from the support team but they didn't give me any news yet. Firmware is 1.13.  Is there a way to stop the disk checking? I'm even ready to reset it from scratch.

Any hint will be more than welcome.

Connect disk8 to a PC and run a SMART test on it.

Thanks. I already did it, the disk is ok. I didn't put it back in the TS yet, I was waiting for an answer from the support team, which is lagging. No way to stop the running check?

Not as far as im aware, the disk check can take 24/36 hours to complete.

it's running since last friday ... 10 TB. Thanks anyway. Is there a way to reset the TS from scratch?

System -> Restore/Erase -> Restore Terastation to factory defaults

thanks again. Before that I have to get rid of the checking, all functions are disabled.
