Some two weeks ago the "auto" setting no longer seemed to function. By turning the unit on manually when I wanted access, it worked fine for the next week. Now, when turned on, the unit continually cycles, trying unsuccessfully to start up. At first I thought it was indicating that it was syncing the two hard drives. However, after 24 hours it is still doing the following: (i) Power blinks for approx. 3 seconds; (ii) Function blinks once; (iii) Power blinks for approx. 3 seconds; (iv) this cycle repeats a number of times, then; (v) Power blinks for approx. 9 seconds; (vi) Info/Error blinks 7 times; (vii) Function light blinks once, then; (viii) goes back into "(i) Power blinks for approx. 3 seconds; (ii) Function blinks once" cycle. Is it time to explore exercising the warranty?

What is the Firmware on the unit, ?Reset it first with the function button, you can find how on the forum. Info/Error lightcolour, sequence and the lenght of the blinks(ie.one long and then short ones etc)

The firmware version is 1.62. On reset, the Power and Function lights alternately blink blue, then stop. Next, Info/Error blinks 7 times (short). Next, Function blinks red, once (long?). Afterwards it goes back into the pattern described in the original email.
