real big booboo

Hi Guy's, dont know if you can help me with this one not sure if anybody can. Made a real big booboo with the firmware update I have a LS-CH500L-EU downloaded ver 1.6 firmware and loaded it ok but when in the menu the webserver setting just white out and I cannot do any thing....Yep I realise now that I should have downloaded the EU version 1.56 but It will not let me reflash it because the version I have put on is newer...any help would be much appreciated...

Follow FAQ 2 of 5 to reflash the firmware, 1.60 is actually the correct firmware for your unit.

Ok, first of all it is not hopeless, if the ls has a red interface go to the link below and download it,

Is the ls connected to your pc directly? Can you see it on Nas navigator?I can see that your pc is safe mode, however some antivirus softwares are funny if you can unistall it completely.

If all fails try another PC to update the firmware

Thanks for your input Realborat, have connected directly as you said but still get the same error message...the only thing left to try is another PC...I think the problem is with the updater it seems to look for the version of firmware installed and if it is up to date refuses to go any further even with the force command.... I will borrow my friends laptop over the next few days and try it again. It's wierd really because the nas works perfect apart from when in the setup it just whites out the web settings tab and locks up when you click on it....thanks again Trev.
