What procedure is anyone using to host a torrent (rather than downloading one) via the LS-CH1.0TL

Ok not an expert but done some uploading/downloading

1) Downloading fine, download a torrent, load it and forget about it until file downloaded. Easy

2) What if you want to upload a torrent for others to download (see above) i usually do it with bit comet eg an avi file

I make a torrent using bit comet or whatever, upload the torrent to a site and then use bit comet to host the torrent (maybe wrong terminology but you get my drift?) downloaders download my torrent and then are able to download my 'avi' via my bit comet program

Now for me to 'host' the file i have created a torrent for i have to have bit comet open and running for Mr & Mrs Joe Public to be able to download the data that my torrent refers to (with me? getting lost myself soon) - that means having my pc on so that the bit comet program can run.

Thats fine in itself but it would be better if the Linkstation could handle my torrent so that my pc wouldn't need to be on and people could download my 'avi'

And there comes the problem, i don't see how the linkstation is able to create a torrent and 'host' it.  I thought there would be a way for a torrent to be created and then moved into the linkstation torrents folder to be able to let others upload from it but it doesn't seem to allow torrents to be added manually.

So far i have been using a long winded way of being able to upload files for people to download from.............

I create a torrent with bit comet (utorrent or whatever people use) and upload it to a file sharing site

I then use bit torrent download manager and browse to my own torrent file and download the file as you would normally off the net - in effect i'm downloading my own file from myself, when its downloaded the 'avi' is on my buffalo and i am then seeding the file and others can upload from my seeded download = pc not now needed to be on as the linkstation is uploading on its own downloaded 'avi'

Maybe i've not made sense but for people to download torrents someone has to upload first or there would be nothing available! thats what i'm trying to do

Once the tracker that you're using has posted the .torrent file, put the data file into the bittorrent folder and download the .torrent with the Linkstation, it should start seeding.
