Bought a new LS-WVL/E NAS, & put the HD in slot 1, then pressed the button on back to format it. Worked great, Everything was ok.

Got the crazy idea to test slot 2, and moved the only HD I have to that slot (for testing of the NAS's 2nd slot) It worked, but got the error that Disk 1 wasn't found. So I put the HD back into slot 1 and Now get the Disk 2 not found. I then tried the "reset to factory settings". No help, still have the error.

Under System-storage-Disks; Disk 2 shows as disconnected, but the "Remove disk"  button is not active.

How do I clear the error so it doesn't look for a 2nd HD?

Firmware:1.60

Thanks Mike F

I did the System > Restore/Erase > Erase.

That fixed it. Took 12 hours + writing 00s 4 times, but it's ok now. Thanks

Mike
