Hi,

Hope someone can help. I have a Linkstation Live LS-XL 3TB NAS.

It has disappeared from the Network. I can hear the hard drive working way, while the BLue LED on the front of it flashes continuously.

Can anyone tell me what this means?

Thanks

Richard

I would try to reset the unit.

Please switch the unit to off and wait until the lights are off.

Hold the function button for 10 seconds while it is still off.

While still holding the function button after 10 seconds please flip the switch to on.

Once the function light begins to blink release the function button and press it again for one second.

Wait until the power light is solid and this will restore your unit.

This process will not delete any data and will only restore the admin password and set the IP address back to DHCP.

If that fails then follow this FAQ.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

This particular unit does not seem to have any function buttons, or buttons at all for that matter?

Could it be a firmware update?

If so, how long does it take, and does the unit disappear from the network while it is updating?

Help appreciated

Thanks

Hey Guys,

Had the same problem recently after setting up port forwarding...... could be a coincidence that I was doind this when the light started flashing.... Not sure...

So I opened NAS Navigator OSX..... It appeared in there at first. tried shutting it down and it was unresponsive.... so unplugged it...... restarted my computer, opened NN.... Secondry clicked my NAS.... clicked Configure settings..... and then clicked renew IP .... typed in administrator PW and.... Bang .... It worked again.

not sure what happened but if someone knows the explaination please let me know!!

this seems to be a common problem at the moment.  was looking forward to using my LS-XL 1TB tomorrow and the same thing has happened.  the blue light is continually flashing and the network cannot find the drive.  does anyone have any ideas?
