Problem with Pcast

Hi I have a TeraStation HS-DHTGL/R5 V2.14 and have the following error when I run PCAST and hit Refresh

Not connect at module/BufPCastDLNAControl.pm line 98.
For help, please send mail to the webmaster (admin@localhost), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.
Software error:
Can't use an undefined value as a symbol reference at module/BufPCastDLNAControl.pm line 104.

Anyone got any ideas

what firmware are you using? What you done a factory reset? If not then do it.

Running V2.14 firmware.

I have done the following so far

1. Cold restart of system with power out and then plugged back in and restarted - Nothing

2. Disbaled PCAST and then restarted box - then enabled PCAST - Nothing

3. Changed directory PCAST was referencing - Nothing

4. Reset the box back to default and performed the step 2 and 3 again - Nothing

 

The last thing for me to try is Firmware reload - just a bit worried about losing data but can back that up and it will take 2-3 days.

I have 4 x 1TB drives in RAID 5 array with 52% utilisation of system at the moment.

I had a drive failure and rebuilt the system from scratch and reloaded everything - Before the rebulld it worked fine with same firmware etc.

It works on everything else and only the PS3 it will not work on..

 

Just dont feel like rebuilding it again to have the same problem.

 

My questions are as follows

 

A) Can we fix the problem easily?

B) if not can I change PCAST to something else?

C) Can you reload PCAST independantly of the main firmware?
