I have a 1 TB hard drive with a power button. I lost my manual and can't seem to fine one to download but i what i wanted to know is if i shut down my computer, should the hard drive automatically shut down too? Or do i have to do it myself? And would it be bad for the hard drive if i just leave it on when my computer is off? Any answers or help would be appreciated.

Unless the drive has a switch for Auto/Manual, it will need to be powered down manually each time if you want to turn it off. You can leave it on if you want to. But it's like leaving your car running when not driving.
