Cannot upload new SSL key on Terastation III with firmware 1.54

I've just updated my Terastation III (TS-RXL) to firmware 1.54. By chance, I also need to replace my expired certificate for https access to the admin interface. But when I go to Network -> Settings -> Network Services -> Add/Edit SSL Key and try to upload a key or a certificate file, I just get the progress bar going on and on, and never completing. I have to close that browser page and login again. The certificate files are less than 1kB so should upload fast. How can I upload a new SSL certificate?

If I connect to https://myterastation, I get a partial login page with a small spinning thing where the login and password fields should be but these never appear. If I go to http://myterastation, then I see a large spinning thing for a few seconds, then the login box appears and I can get in.

Hi,

Any update on this problem?

We just upgraded our new TS to 1.54 and we can't update SSL cert or key. Browsers javascript console gives error:

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token <
decodeext-all.js:23
Ext.extend.handleResponseext-all.js:138
Ext.form.Action.processResponseext-all.js:138
Ext.extend.successext-all.js:138
Ext.apply.callbackext-base.js:9
Gext-all.js:17
Vext-all.js:13
Ext.lib.Event.addListener.O

This comes after selecting file and clicking Import button.

I figure It out. out !! We procured have two Terastation TS-RIX8.0TL/R5.  Out of the Box it has 1.55 firware

Careful when upgrading the firmware although it keeps on poping the message to upgrade the firmware each time i login i decided to upgraded the other terastation. From 1.55 it installed the firmware 1.57. Them after rebooting i could not Access it via URL, i tried Firefox chrome and IE.

Steps to resolve this.

1.) Download the the latest firmware on the website

http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Storage/FAQ-2-of-5-Force-Firmware-update-procedure/m-p/100317#M48659" target="_blank">http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Storage/FAQ-2-of-5-Force-Firmware-update-procedure/m-p/100317#M48659

2.) i disconnected the terastation to the network. connect it directly to the laptop with static IP same bunet as your terastation. You may connect them in the network however make sure Firewall is off.

3.) from the laptop i run the program TSupdater.exe from the file zip files i downloaded

4.) it will locate the current terasttion authomatically

5.) run update .

6.) after loading the firmware to the terastation it will automatically restart .

Good luck
