I have a DriveStation HD-CEU2.

Operating System Windows Vista.

File Version 1.03.0

I have been using it for about two years as my primary back-up once a month.  When I went to use it last week the following message appeared.

The disk is write-protected.

Remove the write protection or use another disk.

This message has never appeared before.  I have made no major changes recently to my computer.  There isn't a place where I can find the write protection.  I have tried a fix though CMD; using diskpart and list vol ; that was listed for another Buffalo but my settings were already correct.

No, I haven't tried it on a different computer.  I will take it to work tomorrow and try it on muy laptop.
