My LinkStation Live starts to beep at times with all lights out. Sometime this happens after being operational for a couple of hours, sometimes after a week, & sometimes in 24 hours after startup.

I had 2.10 and just upgraded to 2.11 to see if this solves the problem. Unit is only about 6 months old and has been doing this for about a month. Disk Check comes back Ok.

Anyone have any info on this issue?

Thanks

The first thing I would look at is "dirty power". Are plugged in to a good surge protector using a UPS? Many household outlets alone can cause these type of issues.

One things you can do is check if the fan is still spinning when the beeping sounds start.

If not spinning, you need to open up the set and clean the fan.

Please make sure your set is not under warranty cos if it is, then waranty  will be void.

The power supply is clean on a UPS/Battey BU. I believe the fan is running I will wait until it does it again to verify.
