For no appherent reason, Viewing files and opening files from my Buffalo LS 1000 is slowed down tremendously.

When I open in Explorer, I can view folders fast, but when I open those folders, it sometimes takes a few minutes for all the files to show up. I have a folder that has small images, about 50 or so, and it took three minutes for all the files to show up in the window. And that is in detail view, not thumbnails.

Also, I keep all my dreamweaver files on there, in the past, I would open a site in dreamweaver, and double click a file, it would open instantly.

Now, it takes two minutes for the file to open.

I haven't made any changes to my system, it just started doingthis out of the blue.

Is there anything I can check to see why its doing this and speed it back up?

Try performing a Disk Check through the Disk Management section of the web interface. The hard drive may be malfunctioning. You may also want to try updating the firmware, then resetting it to defaults from the interface.
