LinkStation Mini 1TB is always running

Hi

 

Last week I bought Zyxel NSA325  I was happy with that, there I could set manually sleeping time for the both 3TB hard disks to 1min and power consumption took then 7watt,  but the case fan was soo loud, it always run and there is no option to stop  the case fan from running , I wanted to change case fan with better one, costs only 5$, but  Zyxel said to me, if I change the case fan I lose warranty so I sent it back and bought Buffalo Linkstation Mini 1TB without fan.
Buffalo is not noisy but both 500GB hard disks are always running, there is no option to send hard disks like in Zyxel after 1 min sleeping. Maybe there is a solution for it  I'm very new with Buffalo,  so my questions are

 

How can I say after 1 Min, like in Zyxel NSA325,   if there is no use to hard disks, Buffalo should send the disks sleeping. Buffalo needs 6 watt power, if hard disks go sleeping, maybe it will need only 3 watt power.

 

my second question

Buffalo has only one USB 2.0 connection, I want to use USB Hub and connect there 3 Hard disks,  which usb Hubs are working with Linkstation Mini?

As you say yourself, there is no option for disk spin down on the unit, you can only setup a sleep timer for it.

USB hibs do not work with the Linkstation.

how can I do that? on the confugiration panel there is no option "sleep timer after 1 Minute"
