Brand New 1TB HDD in LS Pro DUO, Red Function Light.

Hi all..
I have justbought a brand New LS Pro Duo NAS.
I can't get it up and running for the Life of me...

I am Trying to Install a new blank HDD, (I have cleaned it via DiskPart), I am getting a Solid Red Function light. I am assuming because there is no file system on the HDD.
I have tried holding down the function button during boot to no avail. ( function light bliinks really fast, but after 3 Mins or so Solid Red Function Light)
Here is the error i get after I try to do a FW update.

After I do a Cold Reboot I get.

I suspect its because there is no partition Table ON the HDD.

 

Surely it should not be this hard to replace/setup a new nas.

Have you bothered to read any previous posts? The OS is contained on the HDDs, if you insert a new HDD into the LS then it has nothing to boot from.

 

Follow FAQ 3 of 5 to resolve the issue.

This is a brand new Unit never been setup Before, am i suppost to do TFTP recovery on a Bran new UNit with brand new HDD never used before ?

I am familiar with the TFTP precedure but my NAs actually boots into EM mode and is detectable via LS Navigator without the need for TFTP. But it is in E05.

 

The instructions that can with the Unit have mention of Running a TFTP to setup the Nas for the first time. They just say that the HDD should be blank and if it is not blank run Diskpart /Clean.
