Please can you tell me when the new firmware (1.06.0649) will be avaiable in European version?

I see that it is avaiable only in the US support page, but I've read that if I install a foreign firmware in my Italian LinkStation I will void the warranty. Is that true?

May I install the US 1.06.064 firmware on my Italian LinkStation? Or have I to wait the Italian firmware? In the Italian support page there is only the 1.02 firmware.

Just flash with the US firmware, and do a Force flash, with the old orginal firmware if there is any problems with the unit.

DON'T do that if you care about your warranty. Firmwares are supported in warranty only for their respective regions. The update should be available soon.

[sarcasm on]

just being curious - what would happen if i just RMA my unit until the firmware fixes are out?

what du you think - will it be solved after doing this several times?

[sarcasm off]

i do understand that every software has issues - but i´m getting a feeling that Buffalo sells things they are unqualified/incapable/incompetent to support.....but hey - i just hope that this is just a feeling -.-
