Please forgive me if this is a question that's already been answered but I have been unable to find anything in the forum.

I recently purchased two, 3TB external DriveStation drives. I would like both of them to run independently on the same machine just for redundancy. I've got one drive working as expected, but I cannot get Windows 7 to recognize the second drive.

Is there a way to get Windows to recognize the second drive? Can you run 2 independent drives like this?

Thank you in advance.

Does the second HDD run correctly if the first is disconnected?

Yeah, it does operate as expected.

Windows also recognizes the second drive when they're both connected but I can't access it. It appears in the Devices menu under Control Panel, but it doesn't appear in Windows explorer.
