Array re sync taking too long. What are my options?

Hi, I have a terastation 3, rack mount. I recently deleted my raid 5 array and replaced all 4 disks with 3tb disks. This worked until I ran into '' array resyncing 117''. I let it run for a week and it never finished. So I forced a shut down. When I rebooted, I lost the array. I then forced a firmware update to the latest 1.56. This brought everything back and things seemed fine, then the '' array resyncing 117'' came back and has been going for a week. I am at a loss, what do I do? I can access my drives and what little data I have put in it.. To test that it works.
