Hi All,

I'm considering buying the new model of the LiveStation, but a bit deterred by some negative review in the net regarding the old model.

The concerns mainly seem to be in the following areas:

1. Enabling the built-in AV/Multimedia server causes unnecessary amount of disk thrashing/activity

2. Slow web access

3. The Web UI is slow

4. Windows Vista support unconfirmed

So, has the issues above been addressed in the latest incarnation of the hardware, for an otherwise attractive package?

I should mention that besides this, I'm also looking at the D-Link DNS-323.

Thanks!

In regards to the online reviews I would like to address your questions in the order which they were posed:

1. Enabling the Multimedia server should not cause unnecessary reading/writing to the HDD unless data is constantly being accessed or written.

2. The Web Access response time has been addressed and should be fixed at this point with the latest firmware.

3. Response time of the user interface can not only be determined by network speed but also by the end users firewall settings which can vary from person to person.

4. This device does work with Vista in that data is accessible via IP address and is supported by us.

That said if you have any more questions please don't be afraid to post them here.
