Good morning community.  I'm new to using Buffalo products, so please bear with me.

I'm setting up a Linkstation for an user.  I have the folders created.  My understanding is that the LinkStation will use Active Directory if it's in a network environment so I would be able to limit access that way.  But, this user doesn't have a network with a Domain Controller.  How can I set access restrictions to specific folders created on the LinkStation?

Thanks.

First- Support with AD for this unit is that, it will pull the users from AD and then you can setup restrictions with those users (You cannot setup restrictions on the unit THROUGH AD, only through the GUI)

If there is not domain, then you can simply create your own local users through the User Management setup and then add them to each folder as a read or read/write or no access user.
