LS-CHLv2 Mediaserver & Sony Bravia

I bought LinkStation Live with BitTorrent (LS-CHLv2, Firmware 1.33) for my home DLNA server. After struggling a couple of weeks with the MediaServer settings I still have one annoying problem:

* My Sony Bravia KDL-52EX700 is not able to display artist name of MP3 when playing the file, althought it is correctly displayed in a directory listing.

 

Made a bit of 'googling' and noticed that the problem have existed also with some different brand NAS drives using Twonky mediaserver, but have been corrected into those.

So, I wonder will there be a correction also from Buffalo ?

Did you check your IDv3 tags on the NAS and make sure those stayed with the file?

Hi,

 

I installed Twonky version 6 into my MacBook and used it as a DLNA server to stream the same MP3 files from Linkstation Live to Sony. Artist was displayed correctly, so I think that MP3 files are correctly tagged.

Is automatic update enabled or disabled?  Have you tried 'Restart Media Server'?  We have been getting a lot of posts regarding the UK latest firmware and I think concerns regarding this issue have already been forwarded over.
