Same problem here, I am trying to backup from LS-250GL to LS-500GL keeps erroring out. It use to work fine, I tried all the same fixes as you did nothing works. Maybe the change to the 1.15 firmware broke the drives as far as backups go ? Everything worked fine until 5\2010

I appreciate the attempt to post to a similar thread with a similar problem, however this is a different unit and to clear any confusion there might be, I moved you to a separate thread.  Have you tried re-initializing both units after the firmware update?  This would clear any footprints left behind by the old firmware and might alleviate your issue.  Thank you for posting again.
